REFLEXOLOGY

Your feet hold a map of your entire body, Melody knows how to read it

Reflexology is one of the oldest healing arts in existence, and one that modern clients consistently underestimate until they experience it. There are approximately 7,000 nerve endings in the human foot, and each of them is a reflex point that corresponds to a specific part of the body. By applying precise, targeted pressure to these points on the feet, hands, and ears, Melody stimulates the organs, glands, and systems those points are connected to , encouraging the body to release tension, restore circulation, clear blockages, and return to a state of balance that most people haven't felt in years.

This is not a foot massage. Reflexology practitioners apply pressure to specific points to help the body realign its energy so that the body can relax, impacting the circulatory, endocrine, immune, and respiratory systems in ways that go far beyond what the feet alone would suggest. Clients regularly arrive with one concern and leave noticing improvements in areas of their body they never thought to mention. That is the nature of a therapy that treats the whole body through a single, precise access point.

Melody incorporates reflexology into her broader bodywork sessions and offers it as a standalone treatment, always tailored to what your body is communicating that day.

Myofascial Release Massage

This is specialized, deeper bodywork, going well beyond a typical Swedish or deep tissue massage. It targets the body's connective framework to deliver both preventative and corrective care.

Using gentle, sustained pressure applied directly into the myofascial connective tissue, Melody works to eliminate pain, restore natural motion, and realign muscle fibers for lasting results. Integrated stretching brings deeper muscle groups to the surface, making them more accessible and every session more effective.

What is fascia?

Think of fascia as a cling-film-like substance that wraps around everything inside you. This thin layer of connective tissue surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber, and muscle in place — and when it tightens, shortens, or becomes restricted, the effects can ripple throughout the entire body.

Conditions that may benefit

  • Chronic headaches & migraines

  • Myofascial pain syndrome

  • Neck and back pain

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Sciatica

  • Arthritis

  • Fibromyalgia

  • TMJ dysfunction

What myofascial release can do for you

  • Improve range of motion

  • Improve circulation

  • Release tension, knots & stress

  • Help the body move into deep relaxation

  • Reduce muscle and joint soreness

  • Support tissue recovery

  • Reduce scar tissue

Every myofascial session with Melody includes home care muscle education so the work you do on the table continues to support you between visits.

The Female Body Carries More Than We're Taught to Acknowledge

Women's tissues hold a lifetime of experience — physical, hormonal, emotional, and relational. Inflammation, dehydration, restriction, and loss of flow in the pelvic and reproductive tissues are far more common than most women realize, and far more treatable than they've been told.

Bodywork with Melody offers a safe, skilled, and deeply respectful space for women navigating the effects of:

Hormonal & reproductive health

  • Hormonal birth control & IUDs

  • Fibroids, ovarian cysts & cervical dysplasia / HPV

  • Infertility

  • Chronic UTIs, yeast infections & bacterial vaginosis

  • Vulvodynia, vaginismus & pelvic pain conditions

  • Lichen planus / lichen sclerosus

  • STIs & their lasting tissue effects

Surgical & procedural history

  • Episiotomy, C-section, hysterectomy & myomectomy

  • D&C, uterine ablation, laparoscopy & LEEP / colposcopy

  • Breast augmentation & mastectomy

  • Any surgery that has left scar tissue, adhesions, or altered sensation

Trauma, boundary & nervous system impacts

  • Obstetrical & gynecological trauma

  • Sexual trauma & boundary rupture

  • Disembodiment, dissociation & shutdown

  • Disconnection from pelvic tissues & feminine instinct

  • Hypervigilance held in the body

Chronic systemic conditions

  • Chronic inflammation affecting reproductive & pelvic tissues

  • Commercial product sensitivities (tampons, pads & synthetic materials)

  • Patterns of disgust, distrust, or disconnection from the body itself

You do not have to have a diagnosis to deserve this care. If your body has been through something — and it has — this work is for you.

Age Is Not a Sentence. It's an Invitation to Thrive.

Getting older doesn't have to mean feeling older. The body's capacity to heal, adapt, and move with ease doesn't disappear with age, it simply needs the right support. Melody's bodywork approach to healthy aging is gentle, powerful, and entirely free of side effects, meeting your body exactly where it is and helping it do what it was always designed to do.

Through skilled, integrative hands-on work, Melody addresses the patterns of tension, restriction, inflammation, and structural imbalance that accumulate over time, not by fighting the aging process, but by working with it.

What bodywork can support as you age

  • Joint pain, arthritis & chronic inflammation

  • Cognitive clarity, circulation & nervous system vitality

  • Energy, stamina & overall resilience

  • Sleep quality & the tension patterns that disrupt it

  • Mood, anxiety & the stress held in the tissues

  • Bone health, posture & structural support

  • Balance, mobility & fall prevention

  • Immune resilience & lymphatic flow

  • Hormonal transitions, menopause, andropause & the shifts that come with them

  • Recovery from illness, surgery & medical procedures

  • Scar tissue, fascial restriction & compensation patterns built up over decades

This is not maintenance. This is investment.

Many people discover bodywork later in life and wonder why they waited. The truth is, the body responds at any age. Tissue releases, circulation improves, pain quiets, sleep deepens. Melody's decades of training mean she can meet the complexity of a body that has lived and help it feel that way.

TENS THERAPY — TRANSCUTANEOUS ELECTRICAL NERVE STIMULATION Drug-free pain relief that works with your nervous system, not against it

If lower back pain has been limiting your movement, disrupting your sleep, or simply wearing you down day after day, TENS therapy offers something most pain management approaches don't, relief that works at the nerve level, without medication, without side effects, and without downtime.

Melody can incorporate TENS therapy into her bodywork sessions as a powerful companion to hands-on treatment. Small electrode pads are placed directly on the lower back at the site of pain or tension, and a gentle, low-voltage electrical current is delivered through the skin to the underlying nerves and muscles. These impulses target the nerves and muscles in the back, quieting the pain response and making it easier to move comfortably, often within the same session.

There are two ways TENS works to bring relief. The electrical current stimulates nerve cells that block the transmission of pain signals, and it may also trigger the body to release endorphins, your body's own natural pain-killing chemicals. The result is a nervous system that is no longer locked in the pain-contraction cycle that keeps so many people stuck, where pain causes muscle tension, muscle tension causes more pain, and the cycle feeds itself indefinitely.

TENS therapy works best when combined with other treatments, especially movement and Melody’s Body Work therapy, which help strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and keep the spine and joints healthy. This is exactly how Melody uses it, as one intelligent layer within a broader bodywork session that may also include Deep Tissue work, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, or Trigger Point treatment depending on what your back needs most that day.

The TENS takes the edge off the pain so the hands-on work can go deeper, and the hands-on work addresses the structural and soft tissue patterns the TENS alone cannot reach. It is safe, comfortable, and appropriate for a wide range of lower back conditions, including chronic low back pain, muscle tension and spasm, sciatica, nerve-related pain, post-surgical recovery, and general stiffness that has settled in over time.

Laser Therapy

This is not the kind of laser used to cut or destroy tissue. It works through gentle light energy in the visible and near-infrared spectrum, penetrating deeply into muscle, nerve, and joint tissue without any discomfort whatsoever. Results can be felt immediately after a session, and the benefits often last from days to weeks and in some cases, months.

What you can expect to feel: Greater ease of movement · Reduced pain · Relaxed muscles · Improved strength · Less stiffness · A body that finally feels like it's catching up on healing

LASER THERAPY Light that works at the cellular level — so you can move, heal, and feel like yourself again

If you've been living with pain that won't fully resolve, injuries that seem to heal too slowly, or inflammation that keeps coming back, laser therapy addresses what most conventional treatments never reach, the cellular level. Where pain medication masks the signal and rest simply waits it out, laser therapy gets into the tissue and gives your cells exactly what they need to do the work of healing.

The results can be immediate, and for many people, they last far longer than anything they've tried before.

Melody uses two forms of light therapy at Superlative Health , Cold Laser and LED Light Therapy, each with distinct strengths that she selects from based on your specific presentation and goals. Both are non-invasive, completely painless, and FDA approved.

COLD LASER THERAPY Targeted healing, precisely where your body needs it most

Cold Laser Therapy is Melody's most targeted light tool a small but powerful handheld device that delivers focused energy directly to the point of pain, injury, or tissue damage. It earns the name "cold" because the low-intensity light doesn't generate heat in your tissue it generates something more useful: cellular energy. Specifically, it stimulates your cells' mitochondria to produce ATP the fuel cells use to repair, regenerate, and function at their peak. When cells have the energy they need, healing happens faster, pain decreases, and movement becomes easier.

How to Prepare for Your Body Work Session

Avoid applying lotion before your session

Manual lymphatic drainage works best on dry skin. The technique involves gentle, rhythmic movements that stretch the skin to stimulate lymph flow, so lotion or oils can interfere with the process. Please come with clean, dry skin for optimal results.

Empty your bladder beforehand

MLD encourages the lymphatic system to move and eliminate fluids, which can increase bladder activity. Starting with an empty bladder will help you stay comfortable throughout your session.

Eat lightly the day of your treatment

Have a small, light meal before your appointment. A full stomach can make it difficult for your practitioner to perform the technique effectively, and may cause discomfort while lying on the table.

Stay well-hydrated

Because lymphatic drainage supports detoxification and fluid movement, hydration is key. Drink plenty of water before and after your session to help your body flush out toxins and enhance results.

Wear minimal clothing

For manual lymphatic drainage to be most effective, your therapist needs to access areas such as the armpits, abdomen, and groin. You’ll be comfortably draped with a sheet and blanket during the session, and may leave on undergarments if you wish.

Reschedule if you’re feeling unwell

If you’re sick on the day of your appointment, please call the office to reschedule. MLD is not recommended when you’re ill, as it can worsen symptoms or slow recovery.

Plan gentle movement afterward

After your session, drink water to rehydrate. Aim for some light movement, such as a slow 10–15 minute walk. This gentle activity supports circulation and helps your body integrate the benefits of the treatment. And then plan to rest and recover, be present and feel the sensations your body is telling you.
